NEW GAROLL SUPPLY TO
SANITANA, PORTUGAL.
Confirming
the appreciation towards its technology, Garoll has recently closed
an order from Sanitana, the important portuguese company, part of
the Roca Group, concerning a low-pressure casting plant. The supply
is a BC-M15 plant, that casts big sized pieces in Fine Fire Clay
or in Vitreous China with horizontal demoulding, such as:
- Shower trays (up to 120x90 cm)
- Kitchen sinks
- Wash-basins with console
- Wash-tubs
- Columns with 3-cavity moulds
Its notable success
can be attributed to some special features:
- Facility for equipping the line for producing any shape obtained
with two-part moulds requiring horizontal demoulding
- Easy to set up and use
- Highly compact
- Increases output
- Production flexibility
- Pay-Back time is less than 2 years.
EQUIPMENT
The line is supplied with the following:
- Body feed automatic groups with pressure control
- Body slip distribution networks with pneumatic cleaning system
- Air systems for piece emptying and hardening.
- Mould drying systems.
- Adjustable carriages for transporting moulds
- M15 Manipulator for automatic, horizontal demoulding of pieces
- Electrical system with manual or automatic mode cycle
ADVANTAGES
Operational advantage :
The manipulator performs all demoulding operations by automatic
cycle. This means increased output, as, during these automatic stages,
the operator can do other jobs, such as cleaning and applying talc
to moulds as soon as they are free, as well as preparing the next
mould for demoulding.
Moreover, a single operator can control all piece casting and demoulding
stages without any physical effort or need of help.
Quality advantage:
Pieces produced with this system are manipulated (lifting, transfer
and rotation) while still inside the mould. They leave the mould
only when in horizontal position and definitively resting on the
demoulding support. This means better quality pieces and fewer production
rejects.
A FLEXIBLE
SYSTEM
The BC-M15 system makes it possible to combine several casting groups,
both in-line and side-by-side, all using the same demoulding manipulator.
This facility enables lay-outs meeting specific space and production
requirements.
Through independent feeding, completely different moulds (in terms
of dimensions, product type and body) can be installed on each line;
in fact, automatic, independent control of casting cycles, and the
demoulding manipulator's versatility (it adapts automatically to
moulds of different sizes) ensure the BC-M15 system is highly flexible.
