Another success of
Garoll with Tecnargilla.
The
reassuring success achieved by the formula "Fly with us",
that was first promoted during past edition of Ceramitec, has induced
Garoll into repeating the initiative with the occasion of Tecnargilla
'04.
Again, an aero taxi, that joined the Rimini airport with the Brescia- Montichiari
airport, has operated the transfer of visitors interested in closely
looking, while producing, Garoll's most recent plant solutions realized
and installed in Garoll's laboratory.
Inside Garoll's atelier, a perfectly functioning unit for the production
of stick-on-rim closets, complete with a robotized system for the
closet's fettling, has magnetized the visitors' interest.
The plant is composed of an HPC-402 press, dedicated to the casting
of the closets' body, an HPC-201/140 destined to the casting of
the rims, and a couple of robots. The first robot handles the demoulding
of the rims and the closets, the sticking slip distribution on the
rim and the administration of a deposit for the pre-drying of the
pieces, a necessary step for the following fettling phase.
The second robot was assigned the execution of the two distinct
fettling phases. The first intervention, executed after a proper
time after the demoulding of the pieces, comprehends the cut of
the outlet, the sticking slip squeezing, the removal of excess slip,
the sponging of the foot, the rim sticking area and all junction
areas.
The
second fettling phase, operated after a determined pre-drying period,
foresees the cut of the siphon hole, the sponging of the outlet
and water inflow hole, the levelling of the inside and outside of
the rim and, finally the rim's inside and outside sponging.
The unit, at 100% and in three daily shifts, produces around 144
fettled closets, ready for dryer. On the same unit, open-rim closets
can also be produced, simply excluding the HPC-201/140 press from
the casting cycle.
The technical and organizational effort made by Garoll was broadly
payed back by the high interest all visitors demonstrated.
