The Manifacture Tunisienne
de Céramique chooses Garoll's technology.
An agreement was recently signed between Garoll and Manifacture
Tunisienne de Céramique (M.T.C.), of Bizerte, Tunisia, concerning
the supply of a pressure casting unit for stick-on-rim closets and
one low-pressure casting unit for shower trays and kitchen sinks.
The agreement foresees the hand in of a pressure casting unit made
up of an HPC-402/4 bicavity press for the production of the closets'
body and of an HPC-201/140 press for the production of the relative
rims. Both machines are served by an ABB IRB-6650/3.2-125 robot
that will carry out all demoulding and piece handling phases, like
the loading/unloading of a pre-drying rack and the pieces' rotation
from the demoulding position (on rim) to the fettling position (on
foot). The unit, when fully operational, will produce around 200
pieces per day on a 3-shifts working basis.
The
peculiarity of this system is that it the production can be doubled
in the future by simply integrating it with a second HPC-402/4 pressure
casting machine.
The supply concerns, also, the modellery works necessary for the
creation of stick-on-rim closets resin moulds that will be applied
to the pressure casting machines.
At last, the supply comprehends also the automation of the existing
pressure-casting machines and the hand in of resin moulds.
This agreement strengthens the partnership between the well-known
tunisian Company and Garoll, a partnership that began 15 years ago.
