IMPORTANT AGREEMEN
FOR GAROLL IN CIVITA CASTELLANA.
At the end of January, Garoll has signed a contract with Ceramica
Flaminia of Civita Castellana, Italy, for the supply of an IPS casting
unit for stick-on-rim closets with robotized fettling.
The supply consists of an HPC-402/5 pressure casting machine for
the closets' body, an HPC-201/140 pressure casting machine for the
rims, a demoulding and fettling robot complete with a set of fettling
and handling tools.
The
supply is completed with a two-layers deposit for pieces pre-drying.
This deposit is also built with devices that contain the tools for
demoulding and handling. A 4-positions turret, used for the fettling
operations completes the production unit.
The pieces that exit the unit are loaded directly on the dryer cars.
The robot that serves the machines, autonomously performs the following
tasks:
- rim demoulding;
- sticking slip distribution on rims, using a volumetric rotation
pump;
- demoulding of the closet on the rim;
- handling of the cast pieces;
- loading/unloading of the pre-drying deposit;
The same robot performs also the following fettling operations on
the closets:
- cut and removal of wastage from outlet;
- sponging of the most difficult seams;
- removal of excess sticking slip
The
tools used for these operations will be taken, washed and cleaned
by the same robot using a tool cleaning device, and next will be
deposited back on a special rack.
The robot completes its cycle proceeding with the rotation of the
piece from the demoulding position (on rim) to the exit position
(on foot) using a rotating tool device with a special polyurethane
prothesis.
Finally, the robot proceeds with the cleaning of the demoulding
plates.
The acquisition of this important order represents for Garoll a
particularly significant moment that confirms, once again, the acknowledgment
of the validity of the total automation of the sanitary ware production
process, which has been pursued for a long time by the Italian company.
