The 2-position glazing turrett is a device subordinated to a robotized glazing unit.
It’s made of two rotating plates that alternate inside the glazing cabin:
- Internal plate: in this position the piece on the plate will be glazed by the robot
- External plate: in this position the glazed piece on the plate will be discharged by the robot and a new piece will be loaded.

Both plates are made of a porous material that allows the washing of the glaze on it deposited during the glazing phase by injecting counter-pressure air and water.
After discharging the glazed piece and before loading a new piece that has to be glazed, a valve system, controlled by an electric board, carries out an automatic washing cycle switching between water rinsing and air cleaning in such a way that the plate will be completely cleaned from glaze on it deposited.
The porous part has a particular form that allows the loading and discharging of the piece by means of a fork tool.

Advantages of the 2-position system.
- The loading and discharging operations can be carried out in the background of the glazing process, so that all idle times are reduced.
- The plate washing is carried out externally of the cabin. In this way, the risk of mixing the washing water with glaze is excluded.
- Reduction in necessary installation area for the glazing plant. This turret substitutes both the glazing carousel and the external plate washing devices.
Internal components total protection. A gasket and protection system shields all engines and mechanisms from glaze sprinkles.
