Continuous drying system

TUNNEL DRYERS
In order to accurately control the conditions throughout the tunnel dryer, a number of Control Zones are created internally, each designed against the evaporation rate from the product and operated at different set-points of temperature and relative humidity.
Air Volumes and air Speeds are also increased throughout the length of the tunnel dryer, to firstly protect the ware from damage in early stages of the cycle and then increase the rate of drying towards the end of the tunnel on a “Time and Motion” basis.

TUNNEL DRYER INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL MECHANIZATION
The tunnel dryer internal/external mechanization is designed to respect the following characteristics:
§ High flexibility for loading and unloading areas
§ Independent speed control for every transport line inside the tunnel dryer
§ Special protection treatment for the structure and all mechanical components in order to allow them to resist to the environment inside the dryer
§ Automatic lubrication systems
§ Accumulation type conveyors used in loading/unloading areas and for pallet return line

TUNNEL DRYER LOADING/UNLOADING SYSTEMS
For loading and unloading operations on tunnel dryers, Garoll utilizes robotized units that are able to carry out the handling operations for pieces and pallets with high speeds, flexibility and efficiency.
Robots are equipped with specific tools and they can be connected with the main control board of the tunnel dryer for the synchronization of the working sequence.
